Does anyone know how he’s getting the low F note on the bridge section. I’m thinking this recording has an overdub…( obviously it’s not the most hi-fi recording which makes it unlikely that he would have done that) but with the capo on the 3rd fret that low F(over a D shape) isn’t accessible. Baffling 🙃

Listening to this song as a 13 year old almost ten years ago was an amazing experience

When i heard the original for the first time at a record store, I asked if it was Elliot playing (didn’t know about this cover). 🤣

he often reminds me of Elvis Costello, his lyrical storytelling style

Elliot was a modest guitar player, so talented and understated but always got the melody across. Jerry Garcia said people want to see musicians struggle, I think people connect with Elliot because he was vulnerable on stage
